This is a “souvenir” marking the end of the school year on 31 March 1905 at Blue Hall School in Mount Vernon Township in Lawrence County, Missouri.  The souvenir was presented by the teacher, Lida McNatt, and includes the names of all the students and the members of the school board.

 

Blue Hall School met from 12 September 1904 to 31 March 1905.  At the end of the ses­sion, teacher Lida McNatt presented this “souvenir” to her pupils.  Thirty-five students are listed by name.  Surnames include Baugh, Haugemeyer, Horstman, Kirchhoff, Koenemann, McDonald, Means, Naltensmeyer, Strait, and Whitmore.  The school district’s directors were D. E. Strait, Aug. Koenemann, and B. H. McDonald.  This particular souvenir has the name of student Laura Strait written in pencil on the back cover.
