This is a program for “Swan and Skylark,” a concert presented by the Joplin Choral Club at Joplin in Jasper County, Missouri, on 19 April [1904?].

 

The Joplin Choral Club was led by L. L. Lichliter, President, and Walter H. Wheatley, Conductor.  This concert, “Swan and Skylark,” was presented at the “New Club Theatre” on Tuesday evening, 19 April.  The year is not given, but probably it was 1904.  The soloists were soprano Ada Hollingsworth Watkins of New York, contralto Grace Hubbert of Kansas City, tenor Walter H. Wheatley of Joplin, and basso Clarence A. McAntire of Joplin.  The pianist was Marga­ret Gaines.

 

This eight-page booklet includes a photographic portrait of Ada Hollingsworth Watkins, a synopsis of the songs, and advertisements for local businesses.
