This collection consists of published booklets of the minutes of two consecutive annual meetings (1897 and 1898) of the Barry County Baptist Association in Missouri.  Included are minutes of sessions, reports of committees, ministerial rosters, and statistical reports.

In 1897 the fourteenth annual meeting of the Barry County Baptist Association was held on 9-11 September with Bethany Church.  Although 37 congregations were members of the Association, only 29 sent delegates.  These published minutes include the Rules of Order, Constitution, and Articles of Faith of the Association, reports of committees (Temperance, Literature, Education, Sunday Schools, District Missions, State Missions, Home Missions, Foreign Missions, Ministerial Support, Sabbath Observance, Obituaries, Finance, and Destitution), a list of ordained ministers, and a statistical report.  The congregations in the Association claimed 1753 members, mostly in small rural churches.

The fifteenth annual meeting was held with Calvary Church on 8-10 September 1898.  In format and content this booklet is similar to that for 1897.  It contains some additional information about Peirce City College at Peirce (now Pierce) City, which the Association owned and operated along with the Shoal Creek and Lawrence County associations.  An “Enrolment of Pastors, Clerks, and Messengers” precedes the statistical report.

The covers contain extensive advertising for the American Baptist Publication Society.
