This is a booklet for the Lawrence and Barry Counties Second Annual Dairy Show, held at Mon­ett in Barry County, Missouri, on 15-16 September 1950.  Included are names of officers, the sched­ule, rules and regulations, and a list of premiums.

 

The Monett Chamber of Commerce sponsored this dairy show, which featured entries in many different categories.  The show committee’s chairman was R. E. Magerstaedt and the “Offi­cial Judge” was Dr. W. H. Cloninger of the University of Missouri School of Agriculture.  This book­let includes two brief articles by Lloyd Grieb entitled “Would This Be Sound Business?” and “Why Have a Dairy Show?”  The 104-page booklet consists mostly of advertisements for local busi­nesses.  An alphabetical “List of Advertisers” is on pages 102 through 104.
