This is a published minute book of the 54th annual session of the Christian County Baptist Association of Missouri.  The meeting was held with Smyrna Baptist Church on 12-14 August 1913.  D. T. Baucom of Highlandville served as moderator.

 

The Christian County Baptist Association held its first annual session in 1859.  By 1913 the Association included 28 congregations and 31 Sunday schools.  This 32-page booklet includes the Association’s Declaration of Faith, Constitution, Rules of Order, and Church Covenant, along with statistics and reports on missions, the new Home for Aged Baptists at Ironton, Sunday schools, temperance, ministerial education, and the Orphans’ Home at St. Louis.  There are also some advertisements for area businesses.  The Association’s largest congregation was the host church at Smyrna, and individual members in the Association totaled 2152.
