This is a souvenir program booklet for the fifth annual “homecoming” sponsored by the Puxico Memorial Post No. 7322 of the VFW at Puxico in Stoddard County, Missouri, on 14-18 August 1951.

 

The Puxico “homecoming” was a small-town carnival that included rides, a midway, fire­works, bingo, a queen contest, an amateur talent contest, a pet parade, and a “public wedding.”  This 38-page booklet includes a schedule of events and many advertisements for local and area businesses.  The center spread is a photograph of Puxico High School’s “State Basketball Cham­pions (B Class).”  The team won 40 games and lost none.
