This is Graduation Exercises of the West Plains Public Schools, a program for the bacca­laureate, high-school commencement, and eighth-grade graduation ceremonies at West Plains in Howell County, Missouri, in May 1937.  Included are names of participants and graduates.

 

This single-sheet folded program served for all three ceremonies.  The baccalaureate was held at the Christian Church on Sunday evening, 23 May 1937.  The Rev. R. H. Fairchild deliv­ered the sermon.  High-school commencement was held at the Methodist Church on Thursday evening, 27 May 1937.  The Rev. M. Owen Kellison of South Street Christian Church in Spring­field, Missouri, delivered the commencement address.  Earlier that day the eighth-grade gradua­tion ceremony had also been held at the Methodist Church.  The Rev. F. P. Brewster delivered the address on that occasion.  There were 76 high-school graduates and 54 eighth-grade graduates in 1937.
