95                    Quitclaim deed, 1870.

This is a quitclaim deed by which the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad Company sold forty acres of land in Dallas County, Missouri, to William Miller.  The deed was executed on 29 De­cember 1870 and was filed for record on 12 January 1904.

 

The parcel involved was the NW¼NW¼ of Section 10, T33N R18W.  The sale price was $100.  The railroad company reserved a 100-foot wide right-of-way for any future con­struction.  Representatives of the South Pacific Railroad Company also signed the document.  The reason for the long period of time between execution and filing is not known.  A re­corder’s certificate accom­panies the deed.
