These are annual program booklets for 1956-1957, 1958-1959, 1962-1963, and 1963-1964 for the Chereté Study Club, a women’s study club at Joplin in Jasper County, Missouri.  Included are lists of members, officers, committees, past presidents, and a schedule of meetings and pro­grams.

 

The Chereté Study Club first met in 1937.  Membership was limited to 25 women, plus oc­casional honorary and associate members.  The purpose of the organization was self-improvement through the study and discussion of various topics.  The club met for dessert luncheons and fel­lowship on the first and third Mondays of each month.  There are four booklets in this collection: 1956-1957, 1958-1959, 1962-1963, and 1963-1964.  They are similar in format and content.
