These are programs for the “20th Anniversary of Dedication of Our Building” on 25 May 1941 and “Parsonage Dedication” on 6 October 1963 for the First Baptist Church at Dexter in Stoddard County, Missouri.

 

The First Baptist Church of Dexter was organized in 1884 and moved into a new church building in 1921.  This program for the “20th Anniversary of Dedication of Our Building” was held on 25 May 1941.  Included were a morning service, an afternoon service for the ordination of Clayborn Landers, and an evening service.  Russell T. Phillips was the pastor in 1941, and H. G. Peterson delivered the anniversary sermon.  The program includes an order of worship, and lists of charter members, church clerks, former pastors, and church officers.

 

The program for the “Parsonage Dedication” on Sunday, 6 October 1963, includes a re­sponsive reading and an open house.  Marvin Jones was the pastor and Alton Jones was the chair­man of the Building Committee.
