This is a scrapbook kept by Katharine Peers Forster, who was a student at Elmwood Seminary at Farmington in St. Francois County, Missouri.  Included are programs from concerts and school events, clippings, and memorabilia.

Katharine Peers “Kate” Forster graduated from the Department of Piano Music at Elmwood Seminary in 1897.  She also studied piano under J. C. Eisenberg of St. Louis.  She was a participant in many of these programs and other events, along with her friends and classmates.

Items of special note include a “Roster of Excursionists ... to attend the Annual reunion of the Shiloh Battlefield Association, held April 5th & 6th, 1895,” which she attended with her mother, Jennie T. Forster.  Other attendees included J. W. Berryman, R. M. Bugg, and Edmond Casey of Potosi, Missouri, and John O. Long of Old Mines, Missouri.  The group chartered the steamboat City of Paducah for the journey.  There is also a program for the celebration of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, sponsored by the Southeast Missouri Odd Fellows Association at Farmington on 24 April 1896.
