According to Articles of Association filed with the Missouri Secretary of State, the Mansfield Mining and Development Company was organized for a fifty-year term on 22 September 1917.  Capitalization was $300,000 in 30,000 shares, including “certain mining leases and mining contracts with royalty income” in Township 28 North, Range 15 West and Range 16 West, northwest of Mansfield in Wright County.  The original shareholders and first Board of Directors were J.
