This is Norwood Centennial, 1881-1981, an illustrated booklet compiled to celebrate the centennial of Norwood in Wright County, Missouri.

Norwood is a small community in southeastern Wright County located between Mansfield and Mountain Grove.  It was organized in 1881 upon the arrival of the Kansas City, Fort Scott and Memphis (later the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway and now the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe) Railroad.  Later United States Highway 60 was routed through the village.

This 16-page booklet includes brief summaries of Norwood’s founding and its businesses, schools, and churches.  There are reminiscences by Lucille Jarrett, Mrs. Everett L. Smith, and Flossie Cramer, as well as historical photographs and a list of “today’s businesses.”
