This is a campaign card for O. Y. Jackson, Democratic candidate for Collector of Cedar County, Missouri, in the fall election of 1918.  Jackson was a resident of El Dorado Springs.

This campaign card, distributed to prospective voters, identifies O. Y. Jackson as the Democratic Party’s candidate for Collector of Cedar County at the general election to be held on “November 5.”  No year is given, but it is presumed to be 1918.  One side of the card features a photograph of Jackson and his two children, Zalph and Bernice.  Social Security death records show that a Zalph Jackson was born on 5 July 1910, and the boy in the photograph appears to be about eight years old.
