These are Certificates of Membership in the Tri-County Burial Association of Wheaton in Barry County, Missouri, for Floyd Roller and Lela Roller of Purdy.  The Association provided burial benefits for members in Barry, McDonald, and Newton counties in southwestern Missouri.

 

The Tri-County Burial Association was incorporated in Barry County, Missouri, in August 1935.  It provided burial benefits to dues-paying members with varying levels of costs and bene­fits.  Edwin McKinley and Eileen Tichenor signed these certificates as president and secretary-treasurer, respectively.

 

Included here are certificate number 2284 for Floyd Roller and number 2285 for Lela Roller.  Both certificates are dated 28 August 1935, and are for Class B memberships, which pro­vided up to $200 in burial benefits, including services and caskets.  The “Rules and Regulations” of the Association are printed on each certificate.
