These booklets contains minutes from the annual
sessions of the Webster Baptist Association of Missouri, of which the member
congregations were located in
The Webster Baptist Association traces its roots to
the Union Association of 1856 and the Freedom Association of 1859. The Webster Association of United Baptists
was organized in 1868 with nine member churches in Webster, Wright, and Greene
counties. The Rev. Jacob Good served as
moderator for the first 48 annual sessions of the Association. By 1895 the Association had 28 member
congregations, but that number had fallen to 19 or 20 for the duration of these
minutes. The Association was affiliated

The booklets include the Association’s constitution,
articles of faith, rules of order, minutes, reports, statistics, financial
data, obituaries, and a directory of local church officials. For this period the Association’s member
churches had about 3000 members, with Marshfield First the largest single
congregation with about 600 members.
Most of the booklets are 28 pages in length.
