This is a booklet published for the dispersal sale of Hubert E. Lay’s herd of Aberdeen-Angus cattle at Houston in Texas County, Missouri, on 30 September 1961.  Fifty-two head of cattle were offered, with Col. Wesley Hays serving as the auctioneer.

Hubert E. Lay was a graduate of Houston (Mo.) High School (1927) and a prominent attorney in Texas County.  He died in Springfield, Missouri, on 20 July 1997.  This dispersal sale at Kelly Park included 46 of his cattle, plus six being sold by “guest consignor” I. C. Keeney.

This 24-page booklet served as a program and guide to the 13 bulls and 39 cows being offered for sale.  Included are the names of the cattle and their owners, detailed pedigrees, and photographs of prized bulls Eileenmere 1100th and O. Bardoliermere 2d, sires and ancestors of many of the cattle that were being sold.
