This is “The History of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church,” located in the Otter Creek community on State Road V south of Piedmont in Wayne County, Missouri.  The congregation was organized in 1820.

 

Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church is one of the oldest continuous Baptist congre­gations west of the Mississippi River.  In 1958 its members moved into a new building.  This four-page booklet includes a brief history of the congregation, a list of pastors (1877-1975), and a list of family names of members from 1919 to 1977.
