This is a “souvenir” for the students at Richland Rural School for the term 1905-1906.  Listed are the names of the teacher (Frank O. Denney), the school board (J. F. Boyd, president), and the names of the pupils.  The surnames Lile, Duckworth, Boyd, Knisely, Dody, and Wood were common among the students.

 

This “souvenir” consists of two small cardboards joined by a ribbon.  The school district’s numerical designation and location are not given, nor is there a photographic portrait of the teacher.  The school colors were red and white, and the school motto was “Always Improvement.”  There are 34 students listed by name.
