These are records of the Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic’s chapter at Clinton, Henry County, Missouri.  The materials include the ritual, secretary’s records, reports on the state conventions in 1927 and 1928, and miscellaneous papers.

The minutes begin with the organizational meeting on 23 March 1924 at the courthouse in Clinton.  Ten founding members were present.  The chapter was named for Col. William H. McLane, of Clinton.  The “circle” met at Clinton on the second and fourth Mondays of each month.
