I THINK that this equation refers to a polymer diffusing
into a homogeneous system of the same polymer...I want to 
confirm this with another reference, though.

is the molecular diffusion constant
is shear viscosity (Lee calls it the "bulk viscosity.")
is is Avogadro's Number.
is the density
is the Boltzmann Constant and is Temperature
is the mean-square end-to-end distance of a single polymer chain
is the molecular weight of the penetrating polymer molecule.
