Wen Deng's group research interests include multiphase flow, chemical and thermal transport, and microbial growth in porous and fractured media. I aim to achieve my study applications in the areas of geo-energy recovery, waste sequestration, environmental remediation, water resources and geotechnical engineering through interdisciplinary collaboration. I would like to use a multipronged approach to elucidate key physical mechanism at the small scale, and then upscale the studies through mathematical analysis and computational models.
