Bridgeport Discovery 308 refit
Dyna 2400 mill refit 9/5/2005: The opto-isolator board was built and tested a pulse frequency to voltage converter was also added to allow the spindle speed to be controlled by Mach III. Unfortunately the stock spindle controller does not play nice with external control so it will get replaced with a new KB Electronics unit. Eventually I’ll get the schematics posted here. 5/10/2007: We are in the process of converting a 20+ year old Dyna 2400 destop CNC mill over to Mach III control ( www.machsupport.com ). I designed a custom 4-axis opto-isolation board that incorporates the Mach III charge pump safety circuit. The mill is now moving under Mach III control but is dropping step occasionally which is believed to be due to the laptop that was being used. A new computer is being set up now and hopefully that will take care of the problem.
Old Stuff: New! Beta relese of a TI calculator Basic program editor. I've written a small utility program which allows one to edit TI Basic programs on their PC. Yes, I know you can do the same thing with an old version of TI's Graphlink software, but it is lacking in support for long file names and otherwise showing its age. This is a Beta version that is being released to make sure there are no (serious) bugs with the detokenizing engine. A new version is in the works now that features a multiple document interface, printing support, automatic conversion to and from text files and text variable support. Use the links at the right to download it and give it a try. Let me know if you have any problems or requests for future versions. Note you must have the Microsoft .NET framework installed to use this program. You can download this from the Windows update site (link on right).
