Tim Randolph talks on
Control Theory in Banach Spaces.
Abstract: The theory of evolution semigroups is used to provide a
framework for studying the stability of general linear control systems.
The approach allows one to apply the classical theory of strongly
continuous semigroups to time-varying systems in Banach spaces.
Properties of stability as determined by time-domain versus
frequency-domain techniques are addressed for such systems.
What is new is that without Parseval's theorem, the Hilbert space
"H-infinity control theory" becomes "Lp-Fourier Multiplier
control theory".
