A Resource-Efficient Adaptive Caching Scheme for Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks
In a mobile environment, wireless devices have finite resources with which to work. Storage space and battery life are two finite resources that must be managed effectively in order to extend the usefulness and lifespan of wireless devices. Research must focus on ways to preserve available storage space, as well as manage the energy consumption of wireless devices. We propose a novel scheme that seeks to distribute both the storage and energy burden through a resource-efficient adaptive caching scheme for mobile ad-hoc networks.
