Experimental Data Reduction

1. The stress is calculated by multiplying strain by the elastic modulus.  Use an assumed E value of 10.6 x 10⁶ psi for the aluminum samples.

   

2. Plot stress versus distance from the centroid (y).

   

3. Use linear regression to write the equation of the line.
