Materials Library
by Peter Williams and Stanley Chung

Before we can begin rendering our objects, we have to set up a materials library.  This is done by going to View > Render > Materials Library.

This will bring up the Materials Library Window.

In the Materials Library you can preview all of the patterns and decide which you would like to use in your drawing.  This is done by selecting a pattern from the column on the right and clicking the Preview button.  For the preview shape you can choose between a Sphere and a Cube.

When you want to pick a pattern you have to select it and click on Import.

If you accidentally select the wrong pattern or decide you no longer need one you can remove them from the list on the left with the Delete button or you can clear the entire list with the Purge button.

When you have all the patterns you want in the Library you can click the Ok button and AutoCAD will save the temporary Library for you.
