History

·         The original farmhouse was built in the 1860s.

·         Dr. George and Chris Bohigian have owned the farmhouse for many years.

·         In 2015, the Bohigians and Missouri S&T signed an agreement to allow use of the farmhouse for research and teaching.

Research

The field station is open for research by any interested people.  There are several ponds next to the farmhouse, and Mill Creek is a short walk across the Bohigian Conservation Area.  Please email Dev Niyogi (niyogid@mst.edu) to arrange for research trips.
Past research along Mill Creek has been conducted by a variety of researchers from Missouri S&T, the U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Geological Survey, and the Missouri Department of Conservation.  Bird counts from the Bohigian Conservation Area are available from members of the Audubon Society (Ozark Rivers chapter).
