Flat and elongated measurements: 
  
     
  | 
    The measurement of particle shape (flat and elongated in the aggregate
    business) has long been a tedious manual task using proportional calipers.  An
    alternative is to use high speed imaging technologies to measure the shape of coarse
    aggregate particles. |

    Using a moving conveyor belt, images are passed by two video cameras which
    image the pieces from two orientations. | 
   
  
     
  | 
    The length and width of the fragment are determined from the plan view. | 
   
  
     
  | 
    The height of the fragment is determined from the profile view. |

    Output statistics table showing sizes and aspect rations of 100
