Description:

I am the second owner of these speakers.  They have the black oak edge frames.  They are in fine working condition, nice cosmetic shape, and  have been in service until 2 weeks before I placed this ad.  The photos are of the actual speakers up for sale.  The have very nice depth and soundstage, but I am in the process of reducing most of my audio stuff and moving to smaller gear, as I have little time to listen anymore.  I replaced the stat panels 4 years ago ($500+/-), when a borrowed amp shorted and toasted them.  The previous owner modified them to run huge VMPS subwoofers (available on another auction) from the ML crossover.  He added a larger bank of capacitors and a high-dollar coil in each tower.  I use a different crossover so I didn't hook them up the way that he did.  When the stat panels were replaced I took the modified circuit boards  to the ML factory, they tested them and said they were fine, and  said the mods would make a difference only when using the subs like he did, but would not affect the normal operation of the woofer in the tower.  The previous owner attached the 25 lb weights to each speaker with an absorbent rubber sheet to (as he said) reduce vibrations in the woofer modules. I can remove them if the winner chooses.  The coil mod will have to be removed from the bass module before they are transported, but it is a simple two-lead screw connection, easy to do. I would STRONGLY advise picking them up so I can show you the connections.  The bass modules have rub marks on the back (as pictured), and the fronts look fine.  I have the original boxes, but I am not sure if I have the manuals.  A basic power cable (6') will be provided with each.  I can meet deliver them to the buyer along the I-44 or I-70 corridors in Missouri or Illinois, and can drive to northern Arkansas as well.  I can ship them Fedex Freight, and the buyer will pay that specific expense depending on the distance.  No bids from anyone with private feedback, especially dak_audio.  Feel free to email with questions
