Translation

Notice that r_B/A is constant in both magnitude (rigid body) and direction (tranlation). This causes the velocity and acceleration of every particle in a translating body to be equal to every other particle in the body. Therefore, the analysis of translating bodies is identical to the kinematic analysis of particle motion.
