Differences Between Work & Impulse

1. Work done by a force is a scalar.
   
   
2. Impulse of a force is a vector.
   
   
3. Work done by a force is zero if there is no component of the force in the direction of displacement.
   
   
4. Impulse of a force is never zero, even when it is applied at a stationary point. (although its effect on the system may be cancelled by another force)
