Differential gear ratio = 37:13 4th Gear ratio = 0.96 (from Project #1) 65 mi/hr = 68625.33 in/min Calculations: v = (angular velocity)*(radius) angular velocity = v / radius = (68625.33 in/min)/(11.7 in.) = 5865.41 rad/min = 933.51 rev/min (angular velocity of engine)/933.51 = 37/13 angular velocity of engine = 2657 rev/min (angular velocity of engine)*(4th Gear ratio) = (2657 rev/min)*(0.96) = 2551 rev/min Answer = 2551 RPM
