1. To create a homepage you will first need a UMR Unix (e-mail) account.
   • If you already use e-mail, skip to the next step.
2. Fill out this form to automatically create a standard (boring) UMR student homepage.
   • If you already have a homepage, you can either skip to the next step or fill out the form again.
   • CAUTION! Filling out the form will replace an existing homepage.

   • In Netscape, use View, Document Source to see the HTML code for the page.
   • This page also contains links to a sample project page. If you desire, copy the file and images and use them as a starting point for your own project pages.

   • This should allow you to modify your homepage without learning HTML.
5. Visit this link to download Paint Shop Pro shareware by JASC.
   • I use this software quite often to capture and modify images from other software programs.
6. This is a set of color charts.
   • These are helpful if you want to change background and font colors by editing the html code manually.
   • To make your color choices as browser-independent as possible, it is best to use the alpha-numeric name rather than the color's descriptive name.
