KSCN + FeCl3
Chemists are always trying to make mimics of the Chemicals found in nature. We can do this by mixing Iron(III) compounds with potassium Thiocyanate. The Chemical we get is similar to the Iron-containing part of hemoglobin and is a blood red color.*
