Exploring the beauty of light manipulation and
light-matter interaction with engineered photonic, plasmonic, and metamaterial
nanostructures.
Our research in nanoscale optics and photonics lies at the interface of
engineering, physics, applied physics, and materials science. The research
efforts in our lab focus on design, fabrication and characterization of
engineered photonic, plasmonic, metamaterial, metasurface, and 2D material nanostructures for understanding optical physics at
the nanoscale and building functional optical nanodevices used for many exciting applications such as nanoelectromechanical system, optical sensing, optical communication, thermal management, and solar/thermal energy harvesting.
