X-Ray Imaging Technique

The X-ray imaging facility consists of X-ray tube (225 kVp max) and 25 cm2 CMOS base flat panel detector. The facility is also equipped with programmable motorized XYZ stage for tomography application. It is currently being used for non-destructive testing and evaluation of a small size components and image fusion study (with neutron radiography). The system will be the main tool to perform liquid (trickling phase) velocity measurement in packed bed reactor which lead to a development of algorithm in liquid base velocity measurement for multiphase packed bed reactor.
