Building Use
(Presently)
The use of Norwood Hall hasn't changed much over the
years. Most of the space is still used for offices and classrooms, although
there has been the addition of laboratory space on the ground floor as
well. Obviously users require basic amenities such as bathrooms, water
fountains, communication resources such as Ethernet and phone lines, heating
and cooling, and safety features. The facility contains these services
and also meets criteria determined by the Disabilities Act, containing
an elevator, wheel chair accessible restrooms, as well as some power assist
doors.
The Ground Floor contains the Cloud and Aerosol Science Laboratory,
which includes offices, a machine shop, Cloud Simulation Lab, Fine
Particle Lab, Electronics Lab, and storage space. |

The First Floor is made up of offices and a laboratory:
Student Affairs, Residential Life and Student Support Programs,
which includes Chartwell's Dining Services, Applied Language Institute
office, the Cloud Nuclei Laboratory, New Student Programs (Office
of Student Affairs), and International and Cultural Affairs. |
The Second Floor is home to more classroom and
office space: the Student Learning Center, Leadership Programs office,
the Testing Center, Applied Language Institute classrooms, and the
Counseling Center. |
|
The Third Floor is composed of the office space
of the Career Opportunities Center and Cooperative Education. |
