| Description |
The seminar will present a brief survey of the main
ideas of large deviations. Two applications will then be discussed,
one involving a sequence of i.i.d. random variables and the other
discussing weakly dependent random variables. The proofs of some of
the basic theorems were presented in a series of talks last year and
will not be repeated, although references will be given. |
