Keynote Speaker: Prof. Hiroshi Mamitsuka, Kyoto University.

Hiroshi Mamitsuka (PhD) received the B.S. degree in biophysics and biochemistry, the M.E. degree in information engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in information sciences from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1988, 1991, and 1999, respectively. He worked with research laboratories of NEC, Japan for more than 10 years, before moving to Kyoto University, Japan. Currently he is a professor of Bioinformatics Center, Institute for Chemical Research, Kyoto University, being jointly appointed as a faculty of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the same university. He is involved in research on machine learning, data mining, and bioinformatics. He has published more than 100 papers, including those appeared in top conferences and journals in relevant fields. His current research interests include mining from graphs and networks in biology and chemistry.
