Objectives

The objectives for this week's experiment are:

1. To demonstrate the use of torsion testing equipment in determining the material properties of modulus of rigidity and shearing yield point for A36 steel.
2. To familiarize the student with the mechanical properties of ordinary carbon steel within the elastic and inelastic range.
