Missouri Bibliographic Information User System
MERLIN is a union catalog in which the books owned by the four University of Missouri campus libraries and Saint Louis University libraries are shared among all members similarly to branch libraries in a single library system. Patrons can request materials from other campuses themselves, or requests can be placed at the Circulation Desk.

MOBIUS
MOBIUS is a union catalog that includes the collections of over 50 Missouri
academic libraries and the Missouri State Library. MOBIUS is accessed
as a separate catalog and also includes the contents of MERLIN.
What is MERLIN?
MERLIN is a "cluster" of Missouri academic libraries within the MOBIUS Library Consortium. The MERLIN Union Catalog includes the collections of the University of Missouri - Columbia Libraries, University of Missouri - Columbia Law Library, University of Missouri - Kansas City Libraries, University of Missouri - Kansas City Law Library, University of Missouri - Rolla Library, University of Missouri - St. Louis Libraries, Saint Louis University Libraries, and the Saint Louis University Law Library.
What is MOBIUS?
MOBIUS is made up of
11 clusters and represents a consortium of over 50 Missouri academic libraries

How do I get to the MOBIUS Union Catalog?
You can search through the MERLIN
web catalog and then select the "MOBIUS union catalog" button
to search for the item in MOBIUS.

How do I request books?

How long may I keep MOBIUS books?
Books requested through MOBIUS are loaned for 21 days.
You can renew items only twice.
Books may be recalled at any time by the owning library. Please return books promptly as the success of MOBIUS depends upon the cooperation of all participants at all institutions.
How many books may I borrow?
Faculty, graduate students and staff may have a maximum of 20 MOBIUS books
requested or checked out at any time. Undergraduate students may have
a maximum of 10 MOBIUS books requested or checked out at any time.
