PINs Personal
Identification Numbers |
|
PIN numbers are encrypted by the library's catalog system and cannot be read even by the library staff. If you forget your PIN number please come to the Circulation Desk to have your old PIN number deleted. You will then need to create a new PIN. We cannot provide this service by phone as we cannot positively identify the caller.

The MERLIN system allows you to request books from other libraries, renew your books and view your circulation record. The system protects your privacy by requiring a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and Social Security number to access your record. If you are an international student and do not have a Social Security number, you may use your student identification number in place of a Social Security number. If you have never accessed your record before the system will prompt you for a PIN number. Simply make up a PIN of 3 - 8 numbers and/or letters that you will find easy to remember. The system will ask you to reenter the PIN to verify what you typed. Once you have created your PIN, you will always use the same PIN to access your Circulation Record in the MERLIN system. If you have problems with your PIN, please contact the Circulation Desk.
