Please be aware of the following: When an item which is checked out to you is requested by another patron, the library will issue a recall, often with a revised due date. Recalled items must be returned promptly. Fines for recalled items accrue at $.50 per day and will not be forgiven. You may not renew recalled items. You may renew most items yourself using MERLIN's self-renewal feature. You may only self-renew an item 2 times. If you are not able to renew an item yourself via MERLIN, the Circulation staff can renew it if it has not been recalled for use by another patron. If an item is overdue, you cannot use the self-renewal feature. Once you have been billed for an overdue item, it must be returned to the library.
