In every area of life, whether it's marriage or your children or your students, you have to make a decision about which risk you want to take. Do you want to take the risk of distrusting a truthful person or do you want to take the risk of being misled? And my advice is, unless you're working in law enforcement or in the national security area, be trusting. You'll be happier. We know that. Suspicious people are not happy people.
