Lecture 8: Circular motion
Objectives: In this lecture, students will learn to- distinguish between uniform and non-uniform circular motion
- relate centripetal acceleration to speed and radius
- identify forces responsible for creating centripetal acceleration
- apply Newton's 2nd law to circular motion problems
- analyze a car rounding flat and banked curves in terms of circular dynamics
