Lecture 23: Angular Momentum
Objectives: In this lecture, students will learn to- define angular momentum of a particle and of a rigid rotating object
- relate torque to change in angluar momentum
- identify situations where the net torque equals zero
- apply angular momentum conservation to rotational collisions and explosions
- explain Kepler's 2nd Law in terms of angular momentum conservation
