·      Develop nanocarrier platforms to deliver biologically active molecules in vitro and in vivo for basic science research and biomedical applications

·      Use bioactive scaffolds to facilitate bone repair and regeneration

·      Investigate toxicity of nanomaterials to human health risk; in particular, discover physical and chemical properties of nanomaterials that govern molecular mechanisms of nanotoxicity. Findings can be used for QSAR modeling and improvement of safer design of biocompatible nanomaterials
