Modeling Subdwarf B Stars

Abstract
We are creating evolutionary models of Subdwarf B (sdB) stars with the intent that the models will be used for comparisons with observations. The program ISUEVOS, used to create the evolutionary sequences was written by Dr. Steve Kawaler at Iowa State University. The program is also able to extract the individual models in an evolutionary sequence and get pulsations from these models. Evolutionary sequences are created by varying the metallicity, the total mass of the star, and the core mass of the star. We will see where observed sdB stars fall on the evolutionary sequences and how the pulsations compare from observed sdB stars to sdB star models.
