Abstract
A study of the RV Tauri variable star AC Her is given. This study includes data that have been collected on the star at Baker Observatory for over three years, as well as researching many scientific publications on the star over the last few decades. This star is one of the most-exhaustively studied RV Tauri variables and has been found to be one of the most-regular variables of this type. Recent studies done on AC Her have come to the conclusion that the variability is due to “low dimensional chaos.” Our studies based on data from Baker Observatory agree with the stated regularity of this variable star.
Justin Gilker is from Anderson, Missouri, and is currently a sophomore at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. Justin is majoring in Physics with n minor in Astronomy within the Department of Physics, Astronomy, and Material Science. After he earns his undergraduate degree, Justin hopes to pursue a Doctorate degree in Astrophysics.
